My friend Lina Koutrakos has her first gig at BB King’s coming up in October, as part of the release of her newest CD, Lighting in a Bottle.. Lina’s performed at smaller venues around town, including several appearances at Joe’s Pub and (the late) Fez. She’s a pretty amazing singer/songwriter—a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n roll, a little bit blues…hard to describe, but good stuff. (I’ve seen her 3 or 4 times now.) This is a breakout event for her, so we’re trying to spread the word and make sure she has an enthusiastic crowd. I’m planning to be at the concert, and I thought that you–hep cat that you are–might be interested, too.
The concert’s on Wednesday, October 26, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, with a $10 minimum, so it’s not a bad deal, either.
